When I began taking pictures about 30 years ago, I was primarily interested in wildflowers, and landscapes were too "big" and somewhat overwhelming. Gradually, my photos moved from mini-landscapes arranged with flowers and flora, to larger views. I became addicted to landscape photography. The images on this site are some of the views of places that I have enjoyed over the years. Living in southeast Missouri, most of my photography is centered around Missouri and nearby Arkansas. Although I love to travel and see other parts of the county I try to emphasize and represent my local region through photography. Missouri is not spectacularly showy, but it has a subtle beauty that I strive to express in my photography. The continuing challenge is to find and produce landscape images that are worthy of my little corner of earth.
